Hello Class,
The first class meeting and speech presentation was a big success. Thank you for preparing ahead of time and for being a supportive audience to each other. I have completed my feedback and you can find it by going to the My Grades Tab. The attached grading form will reflect the numerical grade and provide additional comments to help you prepare for the next presentation.
The discussion activity last week prompted you to pick a topic and begin writing the general purpose and specific purpose statements. This week in chapters four and eight you will learn more about the preparation side of the next speech assignment. Try to keep your topic in mind as you read each chapter and review the examples in the text and Powerpoint lesson. A clearly stated central idea statement will be very important.
You have a busy week ahead of you and I hope the checklist below helps you get organized. If you have any questions, remember to use the Course Q&A, email me, or stop by my office in NUC 341. Have a wonderful week!
